Dear brothers and sisters,
The Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary was initially established in 1684 at Our Lady of the Cape, Canada’s National Marian Shrine.
Throughout the storied history of our nation’s Marian shrine the rosary has played an integral role in securing favours without measure from Our Lady of the Cape, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary.
I have been encouraged by the Marian Devotional Movement’s efforts to spearhead the renewal of the Rosary Confraternity not only in my diocese but to a number of other notable national shrines.
On World Rosary Day, I will personally be leading the faithful in the recitation of the Most Holy Rosary from the Rosary Shrine for the success of the Jubilee and in thanksgiving for the invitation extended to the directors of the Marian Devotional Movement to announce in Rome next May the first Pan American Confraternity Forum to be held in Canada in 2027.
